My Panasonic GS15GC Mini DV Camcorder does not play the Head Cleaner Tape.?
Today I bought a Mini DV Sony Head Cleaning tape for cleaning the head of my Panasonic Camcorder. But when i insert the tape and play, the tape doesnt run and the time is at 0h0m00s.
The tapes i play in it are pixelating and the frames are mixing… Plz assist!

A head cleaning is the first step in resolving a issue like yours but I wondering if the Sony tape is ‘locked’. Check that and see. If that is okay, then contact Sony and see if they can advise you additional.

a miniDV head cleaning tape does not have “pre-recorded” video on it. that is why there is no indication of time or image. basically run it the demand range of seconds and then eject devoid of rewinding. examine the outcomes by attempting to play a previously recorded tape. pixelation and dropped frames is not a symptom of a poor head. how does the audio sound? if your tapes play back with good audio, then the difficulty is not the head.
