I just acquired a canon dvd camcorder but the disc cannot play back on my laptop or computer despite the fact that I set up the softwa
I just bought a Canon DVD camcorder but the disc will not playback on my personal computer despite the fact that I install the software that came with it. My comouter is Windows XP. What do you think is incorrect?

Have you formatted/finalized the disk on the digital camera??

formatting perhaps but if you did format its much more probably you didnt finalize which is pretty tough to do the moment you take the disc out of the digital camera following time do this one.format disc two. report three. when your completed finalize (this erases unused disc and you have to do this even if your disc is total)four. consider your disc out and enjoy it. that really should clear up the dilemma

Could be AVCHD format on your DVD discs – check out to install K-Lite Codec Pack to play your files – will need potent processor on your Laptop to play it
