I have the Sanyo Xacti HD2000 and an eight GB Sandisk Ultra class four SDHC card and it suddenly stopped operating in my camcorder! It was working perfectly and after erasing my memory card by means of my laptop, my camera continues to say “format memory card.” When I attempt to format the card on my camcorder, it continues to say “formatting do not energy off” forever and by no means appears to format.

The logical issue to do here is to format my card through my Computer and place it back in… I did that and it didn’t function. I tried every little thing..

I attempted yet another memory card brand “Effect” which is a 1 GB card and the camera works with this card and nonetheless operates with it to this day.

Here’s the weird point, I sent the Sandisk card back to the producer and I received a BRAND NEW card and the camera still does the identical issue!

Is it probable that my camera remembers my old card and now rejects any sandisk item? Is there a way to Completely reset the camera? I tried reseting the camera through the reset choice on the camera and that did not work.

I truly don’t feel ever deleting photographs from the pc is a very good concept, simply because then you have to format, and you could get much more troubles. But, try out taking the batteries out and resetting the camera, and then try out putting the memory card in. Do not place the memory card back in until you reset every thing.
